M-STEP and NWEA Have Arrived! Greetings, Parents! It’s that time of year again! The testing season has arrived. Students will begin taking the annual spring assessments next week. We have talked to the students about these, and want to make them as comfortable as possible. We have scheduled the tests as best as possible to avoid test fatigue. In order to help with this, we ask for your help. In talking with the staff, these are areas that we think may help our students: Rest -- Students need as much as possible (don’t we all). Consistent bedtimes that offer plenty of sleep help prepare students for testing. Breakfast -- A good breakfast is a great way to start the day. Cherry Street does provide free breakfast for the kids, so we can help with this one. If your child happens to arrive after breakfast is done being served, have him/her stop into the office; we will make sure food is provided. Encouragement - These tests are important to us as they show us a snapshot ...
Greetings Parents and Students, If you have internet access and a Playstation 4 or Xbox, did you know you can use either to connect to Google Classroom? Mr. Schuba mentioned this in a post recently, and I've found some instructions online ("Thank you," Utica City School District in New York State for your directions.) The following link will tell you how to do this in a step-by-step fashion. The second link it so an article that also describes how to do this, but also includes how to find the Google Classroom app. Using PS4 and Xbox (instructions): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gwIY5gyrgG99qbB7PNTKVdIrUoy-PLs51uHB7Nue_cU/edit?usp=sharing Article on using App, PS4, and Xbox: https://edtechawesomeness.com/2020/03/17/access-google-classroom-with-your-phone-your-xbox-or-your-playstation/ Hope this helps. -Mr. Moore
Construction Nears Cherry Street Attention Parents: The Village will begin working on the waterlines in front of Cherry Street on Monday, May 15. In order to avoid construction, CSI is asking parents to use the South Coral Street to drop off, and pick up kids for Monday and Tuesday (5/15 & 5/16) of next week. We will have cones marking a crosswalk, and Ms. Hall will be there with her famous stop sign to help with students crossing. If this will extend to Wednesday, we will let you know. See the map below for details. If you have any questions, please call the office. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
