Greetings, Parents and Students, SEEDS is an after school program that will be offered at Cherry Street after the Holiday Break. Mr. Brian Klauer will be our site coordinator. He visited the classrooms today to give a brief rundown of the program. Students left with a small sheet of paper that had information for parents to read. SEEDS is a great program that provides engaging opportunities for students after school. It also provides students with a meal and assistance with their studies. If you are interested in more information about the program, the link below will take you to the Parent/Guardian Handbook for the program. This will provide a comprehensive rundown of the program and what it offers. If you are interested in signing your child up for the program, applications will be in the office after the break. Please note that students can only attend after their application has been approved by the SEEDS program. We are looking forward to the opportunities this program can offer

This is a long time coming: Mrs. Dimon's advisory class visited Cherry Street on the Friday of the Homecoming football game. They spent a good chunk of the morning earning community service hours helping clean out the Cherry Street basement. We did manage to get all of the kids back...no one disappeared. We are very thankful for the time and effort they put in. Thank you for the help! Mrs. Dimon's Advisory You never know what you'll find in the basement!

We Had a Fire Drill Today!

Image
CSI had another practice fire drill today. The kids (and staff) did an excellent job following the protocols of the building. Mr. Schumann's class had to go to a different exit due to the sign (pictured above) blocking his normal route. His class did an excellent job of handling this. Great job to all!!! P.S. A huge " Thank You"  to the students who complimented me on my fire drawing skills. Thanks! -Mr. Moore

Student Council Elections

Image
This year we had many different students who gave speeches for the office of Vice President and President of the Student Council. All of the speeches were well thought out. The large field of candidates was whittled down to 6 candidates. Three for Vice President; three for President. I want to commend each and every student who threw their hat in the ring for these positions. It takes a lot of courage to stand in front of your peers and explain to them why you feel you are qualified for the position. Each of you did an amazing job, and you should be proud of yourselves as we are proud of you. Excellent job! -Mr. Moore
